Making an impact
Shining a light on Silver’s extensive female creative talent.
In 2023, Silver embraced equity and set pledges to address the disparity of men and women in the creative industry. 2024 sees us taking this commitment further to #InspireInclusion and promote the role of female creative talent.
Although more women study creative subjects at degree level, very few enter the creative workforce – and even fewer progress to the top. 11% of creative leaders are women, 70% of younger female creatives have never worked with a female creative director. This has left 88% of young female creatives without a female role model in the industry to follow.
Last year’s pledges revolved around giving back to local communities, inspiring individuals and maximising the impact of our fantastic creative women. Since then, members of our team have mentored upcoming designers, given talks at universities, joined a community focused on giving creative people of colour a seat at the table, and made onboarding for new talent easier.
