Twitter Re-brand

If you’ve been keeping up to date on Twitter recently, you will notice a slight change in the logo. It seems the old logo has flown away and left room for the new logo.

The logo has been simplified and uses sets of overlapping circles in threes. The light blue colour has also been replaced with a darker shade of blue.

Doug Bowman, Twitter’s Creative Director says that the new logo will replace the previous Twitter logo, which was simply the word “Twitter” in bubbled text. Bowman says, ‘There’s no longer a need for text, bubbled typefaces, or a lowercase “t” to represent Twitter.’
Twitter have created such a massive brand image that there is no longer a need for the logo to mention the name of the brand. The new logo looks much sleeker and sharper than the previous logo and can be easily recognised all around the globe.
We know the importance of brand identity at Silver, and have had the opportunity to work with lots of great companies to help develop their brand. Last year we redesigned the La Tasca logo, which is currently being rolled out throughout the food chain.
