New year, new start

My first week was a whirlwind and flew by, which is to be expected; trying to process everything and take it all in – but loving every minute of the hustle and bustle of agency life. Every morning after everyone’s arrived and grabbed their teas and coffees, we gather in the meeting room, have a bit of a chat and start to discuss the jobs of the day; then it’s down to business. Straight away I was introduced to clients, working on project presentations and having brainstorming meetings with our designers.
But that was only the first half of my week, the second half, like the second part of my role, was very different. Wednesday afternoon was spent in Birmingham meeting a client who is launching an exciting new service into healthcare, Thursday was a day of case study filming for a global finance organisation on the outskirts of London, and Friday was back filming again in central London but this time for one of the world’s largest media companies. It definitely wasn’t the week I expected and by 4pm Friday on the train back home I was ready to nod off, exhausted but looking forward to more come Monday.
I’m coming to the end of Week 3 now and can truly say that Silver is different to any company I’ve worked for or with before, it’s everything you expect from a big London agency – but dropped in a Cotswold town. It’s full of people who are truly passionate about what they do, who are constantly pushing and challenging each other to ensure we are consistently producing work that we as individuals, as a team, and as a company are truly proud of. It’s refreshing to be surrounded by people who love being at work, and see this as so much more than a job. But that’s because it is.
