As I walked through the door I was blown away – the fixtures, the fittings and most of all the space! Metres of ceiling had been exposed, pendant lights hung over every workstation and a snug including the famous union flag leather sofa. I remember thinking to myself this would be such a great place for ad hoc meetings or even just a quiet spot for hot desking.
From the polished concrete floors to the metro tiles, this office had an air of Shoreditch about it. Every item had been carefully sourced to fit the theme and everything had been meticulously planned out.
It’s always very strange moving offices, as you become accustomed to your desk, the lift, the kitchen, the coffee machine in a particular place but one thing I have learnt is that you adapt very quickly. Monday morning was upon us in no time, it was a very strange feeling waking up and going to the new office, no lifts required just a short walk up two flights of stairs.
Silver not only moved offices this year but we also turned ten years old. To mark this momentous occasion we gave our CEO Graham a present to say thank you. Capturing every stage of the new office development we created a timeline of images throughout the development stage up until the day we moved in. We had a frame custom made and the whole agency wrote a message for him. This now sits proudly on our office wall, a constant reminder of the work that went into the new offices.
Silver now not only has more space, it has room for growth and an even more fantastic working environment. Agency life can be hectic and exhausting but when you have such a wonderful team around you, exciting campaigns and a supportive CEO anything can be achieved. The new office is the cherry on top.
