Silver delivered a complete rebrand project for Ericsson Media Solutions, within a tight first-phase turnaround of 6 weeks.
The new brand – MediaKind – was launched simultaneously across four global locations, with the launch video and event collateral created by Silver.
Ericsson recently sold the majority stake of their Media Solutions division to One Equity Partners, a private equity firm with unrivalled expertise in media and telecom investments, to further develop this area of the business.
Following structural change, the added expertise, support and investment from One Equity Partners provided a strong foundation on which to build a new, independent brand that exuded innovation as an established industry leader.
Silver was tasked with the complete rebrand of the company – from creating a new name, logo and strapline, to its mission, vision statements and tone of voice – to mark its separation from Ericsson.
We wanted to create a new brand that was bold, dynamic, fresh and vibrant, whilst paying homage to the heritage and distinction of Ericsson Media Solutions. MediaKind leaves behind the technical jargon to connect with consumers on a human and emotional level.
The brand needed to be agile enough to maintain the heritage of Ericsson Media Solutions, whilst providing a forward-thinking brand that is in touch with innovations within the sector and beyond.
MediaKind was chosen as the new brand name, as it portrays a sense of inclusion and evokes human emotion alongside technical media solutions.
