Another social media platform, another circle of friends…

Google Circles seems more tailored to the individual as apposed to a business. This is because you have ‘circles’ of friends – close ones, acquaintances, work colleagues etc. – and therefore you can decide what information each circle gets to see. No more insights into your personallife with someone you barely know. Instead only your close friends can hear about your cooking disaster, see that slightly unflattering photo and hear about your ‘one too many’ on Friday night etc. It does sound appealing.
It’s still new at the moment, and therefore I personally would like to see how it pans out before I put anymore of my personal information on the internet. Especially with all the dangers of social media I keep hearing about, though this one seems to be designed in a way to avoid those problems. Make sure you think about it before you add anyone to your ‘inner google circle’ though…
