This year, Silver had the absolute pleasure of hosting several students from schools in and around Gloucestershire, including Cleeve School, Chipping Campden School and All Saints Academy.

The students completed a one-week placement and they certainly made a fantastic impression on our studio during their time with us. They mostly worked alongside our marketing manager and designers, focusing on marketing and business development.

We were blown away by the talent and enthusiasm shown by each student. They demonstrated maturity and confidence, and we feel proud to have had the opportunity to work with them.

Had they not had to return to their schools, we’d have certainly considered them for jobs!

What did the students get up to with us? Here’s a brief outline:

Market research, project management, storyboarding, production management, presenting (to all of Silver, including our CEO), sketching out product designs, brand and logo concepts.

What did the students gain from the experience?

“We got an insight into the process of creating a new brand and product. We learned how to use Photoshop to create a design which was really interesting, and will help us in the future.” –  Dulcie & Nicole, Chipping Campden School.

“Prior to working with Silver, I was unsure which career path I wanted to choose. This experience has reminded me of how much I enjoy being a creative. It also enabled me to apply my business knowledge to real life scenarios.” – Reziquel, Cleeve Sixth Form

“I believe that we gained confidence and learnt how to work well within a team. We feel like we have a deeper understanding of how businesses are shaped and how each idea needs to be thought through well before it’s launched.” – Caitlin & Julia, All Saints Academy

What could we improve on?

Nothing!

How was Silver?

“Silver was amazing, really understandable, and made us feel very welcome throughout the week.” – Oisin, Cleeve Sixth Form

“Nikita was absolutely amazing, she gave us the best tips and listened to everything we said, paying special attention to what we wanted to get out of the week.” – Parmis, Cleeve Sixth Form
